Christmas 2009

Clements Christmas 2009

I could sum up my entire year of 2009 in 2 words...Girl Scouts. I never realized how involved you could become by volunteering. I completed my 1st year as our Service Unit Manager, Event Coordinator, Recruiter and oh yes, Co-Leader for Elise's troop. I worked all year with a committee trying to get a new service center for Denton. All the hard work payed off and the week before Christmas we opened our new building on University Drive next to Albertsons.
As if I didn't feel old enough by turning 51 this year, Jennifer turned 30 this year. Jaxon turned 3 and  Jayden celebtated  his first birthday. This precious little boy still amazes me. He had his second heart surgery and will have his final one around the age of 3.
Elise enjoyed her first Girl Scout camping trip to Camp Gambill near Paris in May. Ready to go again we went with 70 girls to Camp Whispering Cedars in Dallas in November.  I needed a break after that one.
We were in three parades this year, The 4th of July Parade where we burned up, the Krum Christmas parade where we froze to death and the Aubrey Peanut Festival  Parade in the fall where the weather finally cooperated with us, just not my feet.
My soft hearted husband suprised us with a new dog in August. He couldn't bare to have a co-worker take it to the shelter so he brought it home. Elise feel in love with her. Raleigh our Corgi and her have become best buds. Elise named her LuLu.
For all of us who thought we didn't have a life, we got one when we discovered Facebook. It has been so much fun connecting with old friends and family. I now am living the dream of having my own farm on farmville. My livestock and crops keep me busy daily.
As usual we never miss attending the Pumpkin Patch and decorating for Halloween. Thats a Clements tradition that will never end.
We got a wonderful suprise this holiday season. SNOW!!! We couldn't believe it when the white stuff started falling on Christmas Eve and continued through the night. It was just what we needed to make this crazy filled year end with a peace and calm.

Merry Christmas to all our friends and family
Russ, Judy, and Elise
